Default 04 5.7L cold air intake

so i've been thinking about getting a cold air intake system for my truck, i've heard it can increase MPG and also HP. I inquired at autozone about some of the systems so far everyone seems to push me towards K&N but the guy at autozone tried to push me towards some other brand that they sell there, and I honestly can't remember the name of the brand. but wanted to get some more opinions from you guys. everyone here has always been so helpful and i truly appreciate it.

I purchased the K&N 57 Series for my 07 Ram, what a night and day difference!

When I really stomp on it and it gets to 5k, it sounds like a beast, no other work yet on the muffler system but just the intake alone helped out with pickup.

Let us know what you get though and take pics!

I would go with a K&N drop in filter if everything else is stock. In all reality you're not really gonna notice a difference between that and a more expensive CAI in terms of MPG and HP. Its all you need. If you have exhaust or other performance upgrades then, yea, a CAI would prob be beneficial.
