Exclamation HELP!!! mechanical problems dont have a clue

new guy by the way

TRUCK: 1998 dodge ram 1500 5.9l v8 i believe

1. the truck runs fine intill i hit around 40mph and than it starts running really weird. I can give it more gas and it doesnt do it but than the next thing i know im going 70. I dont know what it could be it sounds like its running out of gear but it isnt the rpms are lower than they are in other gears plz help.

2. Every time i start it theres like a wish washing noise. i dont have a clue what that could be either plz help got this truck 2 days ago.

Sorry Kawarider, I don't understand what you are describing, need more specifics. #1. Concerning #2, pretty common to have that washout sound in your heater core upon startup, I've always had it in both of mine, I have read that if you put the truck on a major league incline, and service the radiator fully, and never open the cap again, servicing thru expansion container, that the washout sound gets cured. the heater core, me thinks, is actually the highest part of the cooling system in these buggies, and it ain't exactly easy to get all the air out, and it rises to the top on shutdown...
