Default what gears with 37" tires

My first post but need advice before choosing the wrong gears. I have an 04 ram 3500 with a 6" lift, auto tranny and 373 gears. Cummins 5.9 with a Bully Dog chip. I lost all my power when I went to the 37 1350 22 tires. My highway rpm's while in OD are 1650 @110 KMH, 1800 @ 120 KMH, 2000 @ 130 KMH etc. This is a great setup if the truck is always empty but I tow an enclosed snowmobile trailer weighing approx 7000 lbs. up a lot of steep grades. I found the gearing too low when i had the stock 265 tires but much nicer when I switched them for 315's. can anyone advise me which gears to go with that will give me a similar cruising RPM as when I Ran my 373 gears with 315 tires. The only 2 choices will be 410 or 456 but im worried the 456 will be too low like when I had my stock 265 rubber. Can anyone help without guessing?

Hello blacksmoke; according to this website: http://wildcatent.freeyellow.com/zookmods/calc.htm
I punched in your numbers and it gave a 4.45 rear gear so the closest for you should be the 4.56.

Thanks guys, the ratio I'm trying to achieve is the same as with my 315's which are 315 75 17 and when measuring them they are 34". The 37 1350 22 tires that I am currently running measure just shy of 36" ?? (they are near new) can you explain how you calculated 4.45.

The calculated diameter of the 315 75 17's is ~35.5". Being they are actually 34", 3.73's you're rpm at 70mph would be ~2,580rpm in a 1:1 gear(since I don't know what transmission ratio's are in your truck....but 1:1 is likely the gear before what you'r calling OD).

With the 34" diameter tires and 3.92's in 1:1 at 70mph you'd be at ~2,560rpm.

I'd go to 4.10's though...

I don't know if you had the chance to check out the website I recommended to you blacksmoke but sorry for the confusion. I entered your old tire diameter as 31" and entered your new tire size diameter as 37" with a 3.73 rear gear and that's how the calculator gave me a 4.45 plus or minus a couple of thousandths. I re-entered the numbers now with your old being 34" and your new being 37" with a 3.73 gear and now I get a new rear gear of 4.05911 or just round it up to 4.10's like snrusnak suggested as well. Again, I humbly apologize for my ADHD kickin in on me more often than normal. I hope you get that sweet spot in re-gearing for your 37" tires that you enjoyed when running 3.73's with a 34" tire diameter. Definitely give us an update on what you do when you gitter dun. I too am considering 4.10's myself.
And for fastNugly; your very welcome bud! Kinda cool huh and makes it so much easier.
