Default why no death wobble with lift kits?

I keep reading about it with stuff that seems to level it, the ready lift especially, but I'd think a actual lift kit would be worse.I don't see anything about it with lifts though. Doesn't make any sense to me there.

The reason being is:

Leveling kits (any of them, Bilstein, ready lift, he'll bent steel, etc) change the angles of the CV's and that is what MAY cause the vibration.
Death wobble doesn't apply to newer rams
Vibrations will or again, may only happen in 4wd under fast acceleration from stop

Lift kits don't give you this 'possible' vibration issue simply because it comes with proper drop brackets that lower the important components and lifts what needs to be lifted.
Most lift kits will actually correct the slight angle on the CV's from factory.
Odd? Yes....but that's good.

But then most of us add Bilsteins for added height which again changes those CV's that were corrected. But you'll still be ok

Hope this answers your question

fastnugly is correct. IFS trucks won't have death wobble. Only solid front axles. By adding a leveling ket it will through the steering geometry off. Parts designed to be "parallel" with the road and each other are now at a slight angle with each other and the road. That's why most people with lift kits don't experience death wobble. The kits correct the geometry issues by adding drop brackets or longer parts. Some people my still experience death wobble. Usually it has something to do with worn out bushings, bad shocks, or tires that are out of balance or worn down. I had a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had a 6" lift and 33's. I pushed the envelope for 3 years with the lift. It was a 4" lift that I added 2" spacers too and eventually swapped in 6" springs. One day death wobble appeared out of know where. So I replaced all the steering components with heavy duty parts from rusty's offroad. That helped a bit, replaced all the bushings, once again helped a bit, swaped the well worn goodyear wranger M/T's for some mickey thompson baja claws and that gave me the biggest improvement. I ended up selling it before totally solving it but I think had I replaced the front shocks it would of solved the issue. You will know if you get death wobble. It is not something you want to be going very fast when you get it. Because holy sh*t. Not fun. I was just happy nobody was near me when it hit me.

They all do as most companies have NOT updated the specs to reflect the 12.
Now there are subtle differences for actual lift kits, but all in all, its the same
