Question New Cats...

I think its time to replace my cats...

can i just get OEM cats or do i need to get aftermarket cats with having a few mods?

Why do you say it's time to change them? Have you thought about just deleting them?

i have a tuner and the code keeps coming up that the driver side is bad.

Ya wasn't sure all what emission laws are in effect there. There are a couple tests you can do to check cats. You can give them a rattle test. Tap the cat with a rubber mallet and see if it sounds like there are pieces loose. You can also you as pyrometer to test them. The oulet temp should be about 150F hotter than the inlet (if memory serves me correct). Just giving you these suggestions because it could just be a sensor and cats are expensive. As far as aftermarket or OEM I don't know if you'd see any real difference in flow between the two.

magnaflow has some high flow cats...i had them on my 96, and got better readings on the emissions after i put them on..had em 10 years and passed everytime. They were stainless steel and awesome IMO.
