yep, you'll essentially have the same setup as fred except he has an h instead of an x.

I tried to think about this setup one night, to figure out how it works and all the theory, etc behind it, and my head just about exploded. So I gave up and will just say that his truck hauls ass so it must be a good setup lol.

Don't really think it matters. Most people think an x is better but it's probably not going to make any difference. Personally I think an h is better, just seems like it'd flow better...

It's hard to screw up an h pipe. It's somewhat easy to screw up an x pipe. If you merge the x too tight you will create restriction. They are pretty much the same though as far as results in hp from what I know.

Don't forget about a dual in/dual out with a build in X design, such as a Magnaflow 11386. Plus you can cheat and just reuse your stock dual tips if you want. All the exhaust guy will have to do is cut out the stock y-pipe and muffler and replace it with the new muffler and a little bit of pipe so it should be cheap. On top of that you can leave your stock resonators to cut down on drone and volume if you want.

When I ran had my exhaust ran the guy cut everything from the y-pipe back out and put all new stuff, including tips, for $360, so just a muffler swap should be cheap. I only ran new tips because my were crazy bent and misaligned from the factory.
