Is there some place (website) to check against VIN to see if my truck is affected? I have had front end issues since the truck was new.

I experienced the "Death Wobble" one time late last year. Frickin' truck shook violently.. felt like the wheel lugs were loose.
The front-end sometimes feels like I'm driving over rebar (or that the bands in the tires are letting go).. hard to describe, but there is a definitive vibration being felt. I can feel the vibration from 5-10 kmH and onward. The problem is still there even by shutting off MDS (Going into 5th gear).

I really hope the ball joints are okay.
I'll be doing the recall for the underhood light and glove-box light... maybe I'll mention the front end issues to the dealer.

2011, this should be covered under warranty. have dealer check front end for death wobble, need to go through front end with a torque wrench and make sure every thing is tight. if tie rods aren't covered, time to go aftermarket and upgrade.

not really, these are no longer the work trucks of even 10 years ago. everything has been "lightend" up to increase fuel mileage. these are nice home owner trucks. if someone is needing a work truck and are carrying heavy loads, they would be better off stepping up to a 2500.
