Default Thoughts on Dash Covers?

Any thoughts or opinions on the carpet style dash covers?

My dash is pretty cracked now and the front panel that sets closest to the windshield has really gotten cracked up and all.

As a quick fix for now, debating on getting a carpet dash cover and not worry with a dash cap or new dash for now.

Just wanted some opinions or even pictures would be great.

Thanks

For a dash that's not looking it's best, I would put a dash mat on it. I've used them in the past and have been very pleased. They are handy for more than just looks in that with a little velcro most anything will stay in place.

I don't have a cracked dash but I wouldn't put a dash mat on, too bulky. If you get the dash fixed I would invest in a UV clear and inferred film for your windshield. Many states are going with it because it's CLEAR no tint in it. I would check Georgia's website for allowable tint on cars and trucks. I know Texas is cool with it, man it really cuts down on the glare at night and the sun during the day. This is just my opinion, a better way.

I'd say they're one of the worst looking ideas I've ever seen. Try ebay, get a cheap replacement and problem solved.

I've seen good ones, and I've seen one that look like crap.

My opinion is that if you can find a decent looking one that fits well, then go for it. Though it's more of a band aid than an actual fix to your problem

good luck

Exco

Got mine 8 years ago and the dash still looks like day one. Function over fashion.

Satin, that looks really nice.
i think you might have just sold me on it.
