Yeah and also the way they're geared, the Z06 is basically idling at 70mph. My buddy's camaro took a dive in hwy mpg when he modded it, mainly due to the gearing change(went from something like ~2.50 to 3.50.

These rams sure do well for how heavy they are. My hwy is ~20mpg at 70mph. The best I've done was from Orlando to Jacksonville and back I got avg of 22.5mpg but that was my wife driving following me(in a uhaul) travelling at 60-65mph and on stock wheels/tires.

I'm most impressed by my city mpg, at roughly 17mpg. This truck gets nearly what my s10 got, and has like triple the power and twice the size.

You guys are lucky! Most I've gotten on this new truck highway was like 17 something going anywhere from 55-80 plus some city mixed in back in march driving over 400 miles. Bumper replacement probably isn't helping any since it's so heavy and unaerodynamic. Town is anywhere from 12-15 depending on traffic and foot

I agree. It has the design of the Ridgeline, and I don't call that a truck. But that's my opinion.

To me, the Ridgeline was always an Avalanche knockoff. Meh.

If they're going to chase something it ought to be a Toyota Tacoma. I see a zillion of them here in VT.

The "small truck" market is dominated by the Tacoma right now. Not gonna lie it's a small truck and it has a V8 Option, kinda sweet if you ask me. Dodge had a shot but IMO the last Dakota looked ugly. The other issue is that sall trucks got quite a bit bigger and more expensive. For a fully loaded Dakota you could get a entry to mid packaged Ram or Durango. When you consider the MPG's weren't to off from that either a lot of people went with the full size truck. Think back to what a small truck was, the Ranger and the S10... now look how big even the Colorado was in comparison. There's a market for a small truck... but it needs to be small, or at least versatile enough to take down the Nissan Frontier and Tacoma or they'll continue to take over the market.

You can get a v8 in a tacoma? are you sure?

I agree I miss the "small" trucks. Dakota was great but I agree the last style was ugly. They should have had a better looking body style with an RT with the newer 4.7L it would have been fairly quick. Probably faster than the older RT with the 5.9L.

The colorado with v8 is what I was looking at actually, and it to get a colorado with v8 and quad cab was more expensive than my ram with quad cab and v8. So I bought the ram lol. And honestly my mpg is probably better with the 4.7L. I will say though I've seen some colorado SS's modded and they haul ass. I didn't think it was any bigger than my s10 was, not by much anyway. They seem bigger, but interior is still tiny, same with the tacoma.

And let's face it, the ranger sucks, it's always behind on everything. Remember their response to the s10 SS and s10 extreme? It was the ranger "splash" haha.
