You will need a tune to get the most out of your headers, although if you're like me and have a 2011+, you're out of luck since there are no tuners for 2011+. If you have a 2010 or 2009, definitely buy a tuner! I would get a Diablosport predator if I were you. There is a possibility of your truck throwing codes if you installed long tube headers without a tune, but a programmer would remove that. Besides, programmers give you the best bang for your buck compared to any other performance mod.

I'm planning on ordering a set of american racing headers within the next couple weeks, and I would also like to know how much horsepower and torque to expect without a tune.

I agree with ramrt1993 plus some trucks with headers installed run like crap sometimes, so I'd say get a programmer right away either diablo predator or intune

Hi. I just received my AR headers with cats. I intend to install this weekend. I already have the truck tuned for performance. Will I have to re-tune the truck or not. The second question I have is will the exhaust hook up to the stock exhaust. Plan to go with a dual setup later.
