any of you guys with mufflex setups having rust issues? My stock pipe looks great, the magnaflow looks great but mufflex's "stainless" pipe looks like garbage, and the welds are coming apart. Truck was parked last winter with the exception of a couple small storms. As far as too much drone, I have a 14" and it only drones in 6th gear with MDS on, and even that isnt terrible. I think the answer is ditch the girl, keep the muffler. I'm sure my wife isn't the only woman out there that likes loud pipes.

It may be a different grade of SS, not all are the same. SS will still rust, it is just resistant to rust. Different grades of SS will hold up better/worse than others. Some SS(like 409) will form a layer of surface rust when combined with exhaust gases, this looks bad but protects the pipe from further corrosion.

It's also possible they used mild steel wire/rod in their welds.

thanks for the info. they claim on their website that the stainless they use is "just like OEM" i'd be happy if it looked the same as the rest of my exhaust system, but their tubing just looks gross.
