OP, I can't speak on many of the issues in this forum because I just don't know enough. However, this is one spot that I think I can help. I have a 2012 2500HD with the si/so exhaust on it. For the last two months, I have been looking at the threads on here, and there is so much experience with modding with this group, just read and learn. Exhaust is a very personized thing with each person's truck. I wanted my Ram to sound great, while not dumping a ton of money into a brand new truck with under 800 miles on it. After studying this forum, I went with magnaflow Y-pipe, 14" magnaflow si/so muffler, resonator delete, and 3 1/2" magnaflow tip. I was hesitant about the "single out" because I've always had dual outs on my trucks. I LOVE the sound this setup has produced. I can't speak to performance because the fuel mileage on a 2500HD sucks (OEM or modded) and the truck isn't broken in yet. The shop charged me $271.00 with all parts and labor included. Took them an hour and 45 minutes, and I couldn't be happier.
