I realized the headlights were poor right after I got this truck.
It was widely discussed here and I was planning to get better bulbs or maybe HIDs.
I never got around to doing anything and I think I just got used to it.
I have been driving my new work pickup ( Silverado ) at night lately.
They are just normal headlights not HID and are way superior to the Ram's.
Now for sure will be trying different bulbs. I'm thinking the Recons.
I'm wondering if the problem is actually the brightness of the lights or a poor reflector design. Do other Chrysler vehicles have poor headlights?

on one of my posts. i cant remember which one. i know its under the lighting section a guy suggested putting 9005 in the highs and the fogs. and then the regular low beam bulbs in the lows. and i did. and its amazingly bright. but i havent been flashed or anything. actually had a cop ask me what bulbs was in it cuz he wanted to do it to his patrol truck.

I've had a '91 Voyager, '92 Sundance, '97 Neon, '98 Cirrus, '12 Ram - all had crappy headlights.

But my '12 Ram...not anymore with the crappy headlights:

**************** carries HPX bulbs for your high and lows 65 watt 6000k and 80watt 6000k for you high. You can buy both for 40 bucks 4 bulbs. I've always used ultras it. I keep going back to their sight and I can never hit buy. They have a 1 year warranty.

Those are homebrew HID projector retrofits. I got all my parts from retroshop(.)us.

35w 5000K HIDs + Morimoto mini H1's.

Worth every penny (and they weren't a lot of pennies either; pretty affordable).
