Oh ya. We don't get hurricanes in Canada (so far)
Hey, thank you for the well wishes, Fire! Actually, I live in a small village on the far eastern north fork of the island, and we get our power from the Niagara region (via various networks between here and there) and we did not lose power here at all, or sustain any serious damage (thankfully). However, we are only one of about 3 villages on the island who get our power in this way, and the rest of the island gets their power from the Long Island Power Authority, and of course, those people did not fare so well. Thousands of people all around me who are not within my village were without their power for 7-10 days. I saw all of the outside crews staying at the motels and working around the clock to get the power on around here and all I can say to you and your crews is THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!! Your hard work to help us out here is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!
