Default Gonna Vent

Ok this goes back to the recall on the Rams with the luxury package where there is no hood light nor glove box light.

I've now had my name on a list for 4-5 weeks now WAITING to get this fixed. I was told I was 3rd on the list originally and I called today and I'm still 3rd on the list

You would think that if Dodge announced a recall that you would have all your bases covered and that includes parts for this so called recall. I was told that they may get a kit in once per week and I keep hearing that same idiotic story and it's starting to piss me off.

I did announce my displeasure to the service manager today but I read here that others particularly our southern neighbors are getting theirs fixed right away?

I don't get what is goin on here are any others still waiting like me

Sorry had to vent

I agree. I am extremely unhappy with Dodge and the dealership I have dealt with. When it comes down to it, they do not care about the people that buy their product, just the fact they are making money off of it. I really do not think one part of Dodge knows what the other part is doing.

find another auto mfg that doesn't act the same. not much you or i can do so why let it get to you as it is not a safety issue or a drivability issue.

OK...Dodge announced a recall for these described parts. Did Dodge give you a date for arrival of the parts for this recall...or at least a window of time? I know you said they'd get a kit a week, but did they mean this week, next week, or six months from now?

OK...now, which "Dodge" are we talking about?...your dealer?...or the big Dodge? Who have you been communicating with? I don't know...seems like a lot of heartburn for a glove and hood light. I'd get upset too, I guess, if they were telling me to come in next week for the part to be installed, and when I arrived the part wasn't there...and I wasn't notified. I'd be upset because of the wasted trip. If the recall was over a part that was seriously interfering with the use and real enjoyment of my truck, again, I'd probably be upset. I'm not sure this issue rises to the level of rant status.

Well I had the appt booked and they cancelled a few days before then told me the parts are on back order. My point is TNC why announce this frikin recall when you have no parts to cover it?? Catch my point now?? yeeesssh

It is one of the reputable Dodge dealers here in Alberta Stony Plain Dodge.

Getting pissed of at the dealership and ranting to them is pointless. They don't control the recall announcements or parts flow and once the part is ordered, it's out of their hands. If anyone wants to complain, call 1-800-992-1997.
