So i have a 2012 5.7 Ram Sport. There's no hitch nor ball , but everyone telling to just add the ball and i am good to go to tow? Is there a way to confirm this?

As long as your trailer tongue weight and trailer load weight don't exceed what the bumper itself is rated for, yes you can tow. Info should be on bumper or in your manual.
But I'm thinking it won't be very much.

Old HP is right in both. Yes you can tow by adding the ball, the specs are in your owner's info, but second, and MOST important, it will not be much that you can tow with a ball on the bumper and you DON'T want to exceed your limits there AT ALL.

I agree with those guys. How much ya gonna tow? I'd just go with at least a Class III receiver hitch so you tow anything within your truck's tow rating.

Shoot if it were me I would just pick up the mopar receiver hitch and be done with it. It takes about ten minutes to install and is what every truck should have come with from the factory.

Just makes it easy to tow as well. Don't have to worry about weight unless your towing real heavy and you won't jack it as easily when backing.

I think I remember seeing the bumper tow capacity on my 2012 1500 is 5000lb. I'll try to find the reference, but I do recall being surprised by how high it was.

Biggest problem with adding the ball to the bumper is that it's pretty high up, any trailer is going to have a considerable tilt rearwards. Best idea is to add a hitch receiver and use the proper dropdown to level the trailer.
