Where is your muffler and pipe exit?

Heres pics of mine , maybe its just too close for comfort. It sounds good but its all right there.

The muffler is in the stock location and the tips come out of the stock cut outs on the sport bumper

With what I have now, if i just move the muffler as far back to near stock location and a stock tail pipe exit would that quiet it down a great deal or barely noticable? The muffler being under the cab AND exit right by the rear door, its LOUD, too loud. At 2000 rpm's it sounds like I am trying to prove something.

What I realized is, I want a sound that I dont know is there until I want it there (hope that makes sense).... and not underneath me either.

Also, will the exhaust "tone down" the more miles run through it?

I want to make sure if I take it back to quiet it down that it will be enough for the money spent. I would rather it be closer to stock than where its at now, is that even possible with an 18" magnaflow? Thanks

My new exhaust set up seems to be growing on me so i think Ill be hanging on to it for a while.

You mention the exhaust getting louder with mileage but I keep hearing it will mellow out with mileage as carbon builds up inside the pipes and muffler. Either way its staying. Just need a nice tip for it now.

Thanks for everyones input.

If it's a muffler with packing the packing burns up over time and it gets a little louder.
