Default Minor Modifications

I have a 2008 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4. It has a Vararam CAI, Magnaflow cat back dual exhaust, 93 octane Diablosport Predator tune, and 3.92 gears. I recently took it to the drag strip and ran a best time of 15.03et @ 89mph, which I am very pleased with. Of course now I would like to make it faster, at least get into the 14's. What other minor mods can I do? Throttle body,TB spacer, electric cooling fan? I'm not sure if headers or cam are considered minor work?

I would say rule out a TB spacer as from what I've read here on the forum they do nothing for our hemi engine.

And did you run on stock wheels and street tires or do you have drags that you were able to race on?

I have pretty much the same mods as you done so its good to see your time to know I should be similar. I do have some LT headers I'm waiting to put on though

I ran using the stock wheels and tires. I warmed them up before each run, torqued up a little at the tree and hammered it. The tires stuck.

if you wanted to go with longtubes ive been told by a buddy with a 3g that is the best mod he did.. he also has a vararam, diablosport, and a few other minor things.. just for an example, he runs 8.80s in the 1/8 in his rumble bee

Long tube headers and replace the awful factory Y-pipe. Most things after that cease to be 'minor'.

you could take out the air filter, just for the runs
drop the spare tire too

i always wondered if dropping a couple of those Blue Ice cold paks into the air filter box would help in summer ??

Throttle body spacers are mostly a waste IMO. Much better results to be had from a larger TB or porting your current one. Big difference when running with a CAI. With that much air coming in though, I'd open up the exhaust with a set of longtubes for sure.

Take that TB spacer, drill hole(s) in it and plumb nitrous lines to it.
