Default will plasti dip protect

so i just got my ram sport few weeks ago and i have been doing some research and i want to get into plasti dip, not a big fan of chrome so i wanna go chromeless but more important, i was wondering if i were to spray on the front of the hood to act like a bug deflector (to protect the edge of hood) will it work? and should i just spend the money and get the deflector. this is my first newer vehicle and i will like to good care so. any comments would help

Get a deflector as the plasti dip will just bend in with the metal. IMO it offers very little protection against bugs and rock chips.

We have a few deflectors that are pretty cheap if you are interested. Send me a PM if you would like a few options and price quotes.

if you want... i have plasti-dip on my grille, and bumper (got rid of my chrome as well and i love it). you can pick up a can its only liek $6 so its worth a shot. mine is holding up really good and is keeping my chrome looking new keeping bugs and rocks from hitting it. it works better than people think. i say save money and try it out
