They definately didn't enter a code. This time I'll ask them to enter the code and not worry about what's on the list.

Everyone, Thanks for your help I'll let you know how it works out this Friday.

I watched the tech do this on my 2012 ST that I added the remote start, and RHR radio, pretty slick how it's done. The "warranty guy" had to first add it to the option codes, then the tech was able to "update" everything.

Did he select it from a list or just key in the 3 or 4 character sales code?

The actual update to the vehicle itself is done with a wiTECH pod and PC after the appropriate codes are entered into the system and the software is updated with the latest information about the vehicle options. The pod gets plugged in and the tech initiates a 'restore vehicle configuration'.

Hey RamTech, not to hijack the thread, but can the sales code for heated/cooled seats with memory be added also? I already added the seats and switches, and they do work, except for the leds telling you hi or lo mode. The memory does not work. The dealer told me if they try to add a sales code for the seats, and it doesn't work, I may lose the functionality that I currently have. Any thoughts?

I really don't see how you'd lose current functions but I can't guarantee it. I would think that the HSM (Heated Seat Module) needs to know what options are installed to activate the memory functions and to operate the LED's for the seats.

It was a fail at the dealers yesterday, they cannot add this sales code. The option is not available for them to select and they can't just plug in a sales code and force into the trucks configuration. It really is a pain if you want to add certain options after the truck has been built.

Did they offer to contact STAR and see what, if anything, can be done?

I'm not sure what they did...probably just looked at that webpage again. They did ask if I had the instruction sheet for the overhead console kit.
I told them that the parts were bought and added to the truck and that there isn't a kit, I just need to get the compass enable because the Homelink is working fine and displays messages in the EVIC.

It was pretty evident that they didn't know how to add this sales code. I've heard that some options the dealer cannot add to the configuration. Too bad I don't have their resouces it would have been fun to try it on my own.

Considering that this isn't an actual add-on kit like remote start or Uconnect, it may not be possible to add the option code at the dealership level. I would think that a support or engineering level, someone could help you. The problem is, only technicians have access to these resources and even for us, getting engineering involved takes an act of congress.
