Default 1994 Ram Lower Dash Replacement?? Dang these are hard to find

Any ideas?

I have an older Ram Cummins with the dreaded dash without any UV additives. I got a replacement upper dash (dark grey) to fix the peanut brittle version I originally had. Unfortunately, when I took the top part off, I broke a whole bunch of the lower dash....the part that the instrument bezel, radio, cupholder, ashtray and other parts connected to. Apparently, it was just as crappy as the upper part.
Too bad I only have 135k miles on a great 12v diesel...otherwise I'd just dump it.

I haven't been to a dealer, but I have checked LMC, ebay, and a variety of other places; including OER, who makes great stuff, but not for anything that new yet.

Has anyone replaced theirs before? Where did you get the part, and how much did it cost??

Thanks.

Im looking for the same thing.... =/

I went to the dealer and they said that they wanted $900 for it

And I was like, No....

So, Im on a search in locating a parts truck that probably been smacked in the front or rear and part the truck out....

My Entire dash needs replacing ( upper dash, bezel, dash carrier. etc.... )

If I cant find it, it ll stay that way and plus it doesnt give someone of an idea stealing it...

Honestly, at this point, I'll pay the damn $900. All I hear is that the part is discontinued and no one has it. 2 days of internet searches, Craigslist ads and pick & pull requests have turned up nothing.

I do have the lower dash/assembly. Its light gray for 94-97 Ram trucks. I don't know if anyone is willing to pay for shipping.

I've been looking for the same thing for my 2000 but came up with the same results... $900 at the dealer. I did find one that is on ebay right now for $250 but it's for a 98 and has been on there for at least 2 months now. I thought about going the parts truck route also, but you're getting the same old plastic crap and it's twice the work if you have to remove it from the part truck yourself.

By chance you wouldn't still have this would you? I just bought a 1997 and this thing (dash) is trash. I really am interested if you still have. I am in Ga but love to travel if you are not too far or I will pay shipping. I am hoping you are like me and never get rid of things.I am looking at this post from 2010.

As you can see in the pic all the parts are not available separately. Some of the plastic dash parts where melted to the metal frame structure behind it. Not sure if Chrysler subbed these out or made them themselves but doubt they are available separately anywhere.
