I drove it moderate on the 6 miles home and it continued to hover around 200. Been sitting in driveway in N idling for past 10-15 minutes with AC off and it hit 211 and has been bouncing between 210 and 211 for a couple minutes. It's 78 degrees and my hoods open.
If you sit and idle, the fluid will not circulate, and it will keep going up in temp,it has nothing to do with the tranny,or amnything else.
Dont sit and idle, anybody can use there evic and see that I am right.
I found out the hard way,so dont sit and idle.
200 while driving is way to high.
You can buy a fan Flexalight that will sit on your tranny/oil cooler and come on at whatever temp you want.
You have to keep the temps in the 160-1180 range, even towing 5 tons I never see 200 degrees.
