Default Installing a Varad LED Scanner

I have 2012 Ram 1500 Express. I just bought a Varad LED Scanner model # VS350BL-EVO to keep the scumbags away. The instructions say to wire it per the following

Red Lead = to battery (constant)
Black Lead = battery negative or chassis Ground
Orange = Ingnition

Has anybody installed one of these, I can't find a good spot to route the wire through my firewall to the battery/fuse box?

if you look at the fire wall on the driver side, you will see a huge rubber grommet that passed the wire harness to under the dash area, look under the wires going in there will be a nipple there, cut off the end of the nipple and you will have a hole that will allow you to pass a couple of wires through.

Thanks, I saw the nipple but decided to hook up to my 12V aux ports. One is on only when the truck is started and the other is constant. My only issue now is that I ma getting leakage through my "Ground when ignition is Off' connection. I called tech support and they told that I need to install a Diode. The nipple port is a cool feature though, I had to cut into the grommet on my Chevy when I installed an amp
