I also prefer to buy the parts individually this ways you buy what you need and you also get you choice of parts based on brand/quality. For seals I like a certain brand, Transtec. For bearings I prefer Clevite, but when you buy a rebuild kit they don't always have clevite or transtec or this or that.

Basically it will boil down to two questions.

Cheapest and fastest = rebuild kit
Costly, takes time, best for quality = individual

But for the 46RH in a 95, you will only end up replacing things like frictions discs and plates, bushings, bearings, seals, gaskets, bellville spring, servo assembly, bands, manual valve, pressure regulator valve, filters, switch valve, torque converter (recommended but not always required), electronics.

The 46RH especially the 95 year had allot of defects in it.
