I'm not looking to get anyone in trouble. Just thought it might be cool to own my old truck again.
I've seen people who've sold their old muscle cars then buy them back years later. Might not be worth the trouble though

Why would you want a 2nd gen, anyway? Even if it was yours. They're junk. I've had one before. Get a 1st gen, they're easier and MUCH cheaper to lift anyway. Leaf springs front/back.

I would hardly call them junk. Only problem I ever had was the cracking dash. It might still be my favorite truck I've owned.
Don't care for the first gens at all. They just don't have the same appeal as the 2nd through 4th gen

There are ways to do it

It looks like tracking down that cool ride you once owned just got a little easier, maybe. AutoCheck (a part of Experian) now offers a service to help track down a vehicle you may have owned previously by providing the last known area the vehicle was registered in. Sounds like this site is what Car Domain could have been, it’s part social networking for vehicles, vehicle tracking, sharing your personal vehicle history and using AutoCheck® vehicle history reports to discover the service history of a vehicle you are looking to research.

Visit CheckMyRide.com

Another way would be to join a social network for car fanatics
this would mean that you would have to tell the people on the site what town you lived in when you sold it, a bunch of pictures of the vehicle when you owned it, etc

Personally, i would be looking for a vehicle that someone had started fixing up & is short of funds, so they can't finish the project.
