Default Need some help ASAP

alright guys heres the situation. I just a 99 ram 1500 ext cab 4x4 with a 360. its burning oil pretty bad and the guy i just got it from was running 15w-40 diesel oil when its a gas engine. the gasket under the intake manifold have not been replaced yet so thats the cause of some of the oil burning but its burning a lot and a lot of smoke comes out when its revved high. its blue to black and when i start it white smoke comes out till it warms up. it sounds like a slight tap or noise under the passenger valve cover. it also makes a loud almost grinding noise around 2000 rpms. I posted a youtube video of the grinding noise

Im doing a compression check and running the codes in the morning to check whether its a worn piston ring, or a valve stem but i dont know a whole lot about engines so what do you guys think?

The only thing I could hear sounded like an a/c clutch or worn alt. bearing.

I suspect you may have a rod bearing problem along with a bad valve or valve guide.

You could try cleaning the engine out with Seafoam engine cleaner..the valve may be sticking but that would not create a grinding noise.

The oil is still full or within normal operating range. and what is a rod bearing problem exactly? hard to fix?

if its a rod bearing your probly looking at a rebuild, smoking when ya crank it then clearing up after warming up is alot of times valve guide seals, the tapping noise maybe a bad rocker arm or even a lifter collapsed...Might need to freshen that motor up..
