A few tips for those installing Airlift 1000 airbags in the near future. I installed mine yesterday, took about 2 hours.
Let the air do the work!!
I stuffed the bags in best I could but they dont have to be in perfect form, just as long as they are in the spring and somewhat to form (and with the spacer and airline connected of course). At 2x2 piece of wood came in handy also to push the bags around a bit. Putting air to the bags before you lower the truck will pop those bags into form. Push them UP to where they need to be and lower the truck. Just saying because I could see one spending too much time trying to get these bag perfect before time for the air.
I put the air fill fitting on temporarily to get the bags in place then routed air tubes when truck was lowered.
I lifted each side individually with jack under the spring. Put a jack-stand under the frame right behind rear-doors.
Also.... boil some water and have a pot of hot water handy. Dip the airlines in the hot water before placing over fittings.
SORRY, No pics, I installed mine in the Oregon outdoors and was trying to beat the rain and was short on daylight.
No cussing or frustration
