Default Question about suspension kit

I just picked up a Pro Comp 2.5'' Nitro Suspension Kit. A friend had mentioned to me that I may need to put a set of taller shocks in due to the height increase in the rear. Anybody know if the stock ones are okay to leave in?

Yes replacing them is a good idea. With the longer extension the old shocks are out of their operating range and you run the chance of over extending them (limiting your downward suspension travel)...Either way you will shorten their life a lot faster.

Well it looks like I need to find some new shocks then. Thanks for the info.

Lol. My friend also drives a Ford, which is unfortunate. So do you figure the stock ones are okay to leave in?

Stock shocks are what they are in my opinion, you will have to change them out sooner or later, and you can get much better performance with aftermarket shocks My vote is to get new ones.

Yeah man, that's just an extra inch in the rear. Lots of folks run the rcx leveling kit and it's rear spacer is 1.75" and they dont complain any. With that said is it needed....no, is it recommended...no, can you...yes.

Hinkle, that '12 will be changing out shocks alot later than sooner
