My average in Iowa 50/50 stands at 14.5 mpg. Would like to see 18 but only time Ive seen that was when I reset the EVIC on the highway. Was not long until it was back under 15

SoeleOTE=snrusnak;961359]I love the fact that nobody has commented on him claiming 22-23 mpg out of his 2007 hemi ram lol. Your 2007 did not get that gas mileage.

18mpg(although I'm skeptical if you are calculation this correctly) is very good avg mpg for the 4th gen hemi rams.[/QUOTE]

I had an 06 qc hemi 3.92 and if i kept it under 70 i could get 21 or so on the highway a majority of the time. I avg 16 Only mods were mopar cai and some muffler(sounded good) and catless, which it was bought that way. 1600 mi on my 12 rcsb express and i avg 12

YA ,I know how to figure mileage on these trucks, seeing how I drive nearly 120K mile per year covering three western states as a field rep. I have worn out more pickups than most of you will ever own. I think the big difference in the mileage I get VS what most other drivers get is where you are driving, nearly all of my driving is on the highway with trips of 400 to 600 miles. IF I cross any mountain passes them my millage will suffer but on the flat great plains driving its fine. The other trick I use to getting the best MPG possible is to keep the RPM at or below 2000 depending on how your truck is geared will determine what speed you get at 2K RPM. for my 07 it was around 68 MPH anything over 2K and the MPG dropped like a rock...My new 2012 Ram seems to do the best at 62... I have had my new truck for one month and I have nearly 5K miles on it.. I would say it is now broke in.

Default MPG cross country

Just before Christmas I drove to the Tri- Cities area of Washington State, that is over 670 miles for me one way.. On the highway I was getting 22MPG all open road with no city driving in that figure. My MPG in city is around 13.9 to just over 14 depending on the grade of gas that I am using at the time. I do like this new 2012, the 32 gallon fuel tank I can drive nearly 700 miles before I have to stop for gas. My 07 Ram only had a much smaller tank and I had to stop often on long trips..

I wish i was paying what you guys are in the states. I pay the equivilant of $4.8 per galon up here in Ontario, Canada. Filled up my 2012 hemi sport the other day to the tune of $130.00.

I have a 2012 Big Horn 4x4 Hemi 355 rear end, 12k miles, i am getting consistant 16.2 with a 70/30 highway/city every day, 40 mile round trip. the more i idle to warm up, the worse the milage, 5 minute warm up in the am and pm, and my milage drops by .5-.8, for the day, i know this because i have filled up every day for 2 months, just to see how much better i do with this truck over my 07 Tundra crew max that i traded in. the best i have gotten was 23 over a 100 mile highway trip with a stiff tail wind. standard 100 mile trip with normal traffic and little or no wind, was 19.8, still not bad for full size 4x4.

Shawnu, go figure this for yourself ( 705 miles on 32 gallon of fuel equals 22.0MPG) that is from my house to the tri-cities of Washington state, and yes my 07 did get 22MPG on the Highway and sometimes ever better, once from Burley Idaho to Twin Falls Idaho I have gotten 24, try keeping your foot out of it your RAM might surprise you what kind of mileage you can get. After you have driven as many miles as I have in a pickup truck figuring mileage and how to drive to optimize the MPH is not beyond my ability since I have a degree in Agronomy and I have been driving for 34 years.

BOBLR is right on the numbers, my 11 can get that as well. I have the mileage records that show it. Like BOBLR I'm also a field rep and put a ton of miles on a year. Once you find the sweet spot on these Rams and run them there they will shock you at what kind of mileage they can get.

A 4th gen getting 20, 21, or even 22mpg is believable. A 3rd gen is not. 3rd gens were heavier, less aerodynamic, and had a less efficient engine. So how do you think the 3rd gen could get the same or better mpg as the 4th gen? Not trying to fight about it, just that I'd have to see it to believe it is all. I know a lot of people with 3rd and 4th gen rams and mpg's are pretty consistant across the board. Every 3rd gen hemi owner I've known hasn't even come close to 20mpg highway. More like 17/18, and I could even maybe believe 20 max, but not 22 or 24. My 4 cylinder 5 speed s10 barely even got 24mpg at half the weight.

I drive pretty easy most of the time and the best I can get with my 4.7L quad cab with 3.55's is ~22/23mpg at 60mph. Normally more like 20mpg though at 70-80mph.
