Default Shocks??

I need new shocks for my 01 Ram 4x4 and was wondering what the best replacement shock would be. I have many friends who say Rancho but there are so many choices.

I think bilstein is the way to go. The 5100 series are hieght adjustable for the fronts as opposed to getting torsion keys or spacers, so you get a slight lift with the new shock. I think they go up to 2" or 2.5".

This place seems to have a good selection with good descriptions. Plus a 10% off sale on Bilstein, but they have a lot of other good ones there depending on your application.

Yeah but I just checked and they dont make the ride hieght adjustables for our trucks, your 98 or my 04. So boooo But yes thats the idea.

Bilstein ride height adjustable leveling kit. This part can be used on trucks that are stock height, or to level the front end with up to 2-inches of lift.

This is done by relocating the spring perch on the unit.

REQUIRES REMOVAL FROM VEHICLE TO ADJUST

um....how do you know when the shocks are bad?

I'mm 99% sure that my shocks are stock from 98. if i'm right then they have 132,880 miles on them.

last question...what are the other benifits of replacing the shocks...besides the obvious smoother ride?

I have a couple of friends and they rave about their Rancho shocks. They say that they are expensive but are well worth it in the end.

Anybody know if Monroe Load Levelers, for the rear, will fit an 08 Ram?
