Default Aftermarket Brake Controller

When I bought my 2013 SLT I never got the trailer brake controller because I bought a truck off the lot to get a better deal. I do have the hitch and factory 4 pin and 7 pin for lights at the back.
I have my Tekonsha from my previous truck so for now I'm going to install it and maybe later upgrade to the factory one.
From what I've read there are suppose to be two connectors, one for the brakes and one for the computer. I found a video that shows where these connectors are on the 2009 but it appears the 2013 must be different.
Does anyone know where the connectors are on the 2013?

Thanks,
Keith

my 2013 is the same as yours. Have the 4 and 7 pin connectors in the bumper and no factory controller. Cant find the connectors everyone talks about. Under the dash by the center console, there are a few loose connectors. I bet they are for the factory controller which mounts in that location. Dealer says the components required for a retrofit will not be available till march. I tow in 2 weeks. Here is what I will be getting:

I am banking on this being cheaper than the factory panel and module. Ray

If I can find the factory plugs I'll be using a Draw Tite 20273 wiring cable to wire my older Tekonsha. That cable is listed for 2011 to 2013 and sell for $20 locally to me.
I can't imaging the factory not installing the factory wiring when it has both connectors at the rear bumper, they must be somewhere.
It's cold and snow is on the ground right now so it's PITA looking but I don't really need to have trailer brakes until the spring so I have lots of time.

One thing I have noticed is there is a "gain" icon on my screen in the middle of the instrument cluster. This leads me to believe you can watch brake activation on the cluster with the factory controller. Hmmm..... I just verified we have +12v on pin 3/4 (however you look at it).

Ok success I found both the 4 pin and the Can Buss connectors.
Originally I was looking near the parking brake and up the steering column but I found both of them on the drivers side under the dash just to the left of the auxiliary power outlet.

The Can buss connector adds the factory brake controller to the computer system and the dealer has to program it into the system. The small 4 wire connector is for the brake wiring for the factory controller or for the aftermarket controllers.
I took this picture with the camera sitting on the gas pedal looking up towards the underneath of the front dash towards the seat. To the left is the center consul and to the right is the steering.

Hope that helps.
Keith

BTW, the harness I quoted for my after market controller is for hard wiring on the controller end because I have an older controller without a connector.
If you get a newer controller they have a connector on them so you can buy a cable which plugs into the controller and then into the factory plug, plug and play. I really don't like the controller under the dash so I will probably change to the factory one at some point.

o.k. I couldn't take it anymore, so I went and pinned it out. In the attached photo, the plug we want is shown with 4 wires.

Red = +12v
Pink = +12v
Blk = Continuity to ground
Grn = Continuity to brake Pin as shown on the diagram on the dust cover of the 7 pin plug. (Lower right pin).

So...

#1. why am i thinking the pink should be dead and go 12v when the brake is pushed.
#2. can I splice the green to a regular brake controller
#3. What the heck is the pink wire for??
