When I went to pick my truck up it had 1/8 tank of fuel, I went back inside and told them the least they could do was fill it up for me, so the sales guy grabbed a gas card and we drove across the street and he filled it up for free. If you want something, you have to ask!

I got lucky. Mine came with a full tank. Though I'm sure it was out of their own supply, at least I didn't have to drop $70 into the tank as soon as I picked it up.

The owner of my dealership had to hop on a plane at 6am, fly down to North Carolina, pick up my truck from a dealership down there, and drive it back. He said he got home at 12:30am Sunday morning. Truck was full to the brim and I wasn't charged a cent for any of the fuel. Some dealerships suck I guess.. Only discrepancy was that the truck had about 800 miles on it when i finally picked it up but I said no problem, wasn't going to wait to have it shipped up and it was the only sport with the options I wanted anywhere on the east coast.

Got my truck with a full tank of gas and I was told before the purchase it would be so. I admire my dealership/salesman for not being stingy.

It is still common practice here in the north to get a full tank on purchase of a new vehicle even though it cost well over 140$ to fill up my truck. I figure that is the least they can do considering what I paid for it. Keeping the customer happy seems to be important to my dealer and it should be.

I bought my truck (2012 R/T) from Roy's Grand Dodge in Grand Island Nebraska. They shipped it to me in Seattle Washington with a full tank of gas.... Great people Highly recommended!

holy crap how expensive is gas up there? Down here, even if you're rockin the 32 gal tank, at $4 a gallon (which was the high price back over the summer), you're looking at 128 bucks from dead bone dry.

Gas is about 1.20 a litre right now. 121 litre tank x 1.20 equals 145.20

You would see me walk right out if they didn't fill up my 34,000 truck. That's a deal breaker for me. I ALWAYS get at least 1-3 free oil changes and a tank of gas.

I asked my salesman to have it filled up...his response was "we don't do that anymore". I asked him if we were going to cancel the deal over 100 bucks worth of gas. We drove to the gas station on the corner, he filled it with mid-grade, I dropped him back at the dealership and I drove away. Don't know if he paid it out of his pocket or what, but to me, that is the least they can do.
