yea the tank has a really crappy design wich cause the fuel to slosh at stop a few seconds later. feels like someone nudges you forward. its annoying. not sure what the fix would be. maybe a new tank i imagine. dont think its worth the trouble.Oh yea thats a good idea. did not know the amg ones would fit. makes sense though. good call on that. did u purchase the diablo tuner? it seems like theres more trouble than not unless u have everything possible done to your truck wich is still causing issues. i think ill wait till theres more testing and a better solution out there to unleash the power of these trucks. But then again who needs much more power. this truck pulls my 8000 lb trailer through the bc mountains no problem at 110-120 km/h with just a lil increase in tranny temp etc. So is it worth it for mileage or anything else who knows.i think id rather spend the 600 bux on my toys haha.

I purchased the tuner and took it back 72hrs later. Not worth it. I have a tuner in my challenger and I noticed a difference, but no real gains in the truck.

Mercedes makes 90% of the Dodge transmissions and the only difference is the solenoids they use. Brown tops are used in all Dodge nag1 transmissions, the Mercedes AMG uses blue tops, it's an easy swap out when you change your trans fluid.

I'm pulling a big trailer myself and frankly don't need to compromise the fuel mileage any more. A firmer more solid shift will help.

amen on the tuner thing. figured it was a waste. i feel if u need more power and all that. buy a 1 ton diesel. simple.

i think the only thing worth purchasing it probably the air bags. for the leveling idea. i was thinking of the firestones. had them on an old truck and they were awesome.

im most definetly gonna do the swa to the blue when i change my trans fluid.thanks for the idea man!

i might invest in the hids too very soon. u have had no issues at all eh? had them on my old truck and they were so good. got alot of high beam flashes and middle fingers though haha.

I have the TLC airbag kit, decent kit and great customer service.

No issues with the HID's, I had my lights rearmed after install, so they aren't blinding drivers... The fogs are bright as hell, but a simple $30 at the dealership for reaiming doesn't he trick.

If you ever want to stop by and see them, I'm in the SE.

It's nice knowing another member pulls a heavy trailer with a halfton, I'm lucky I'm lighter in weight at 6380lbs it's the length that shocks everyone at 35ft. Haha

oh yea the total load control. looks really slick. ill enquire.
yea im just in the sw. bridlewood. awesome.

yea my trailer is about 8k loaded. pulls it no problem. i think im at about 30ft total(26ft trailer). but the sway bars and distribution solves the issues of the haters haha. i also throw my dirtbike in the back of the truck... and have no problems at all. my old 2006 ford could not handle the trailer even. going 50kmh max floored up the rogers pass is brutal. and 250km a tank(110litre) was killing me haha. so the dodge solved that problem rather the 5.4 ford junk engine.

This is just my thought, but could all these symptems be linked to the recall for the Pinion nut coming loose. If so when you stop you would get a small jolt a fraction of a second later. And it would also cause problems throughout all shifting...

That's exactly the symptom. I thought it might be fuel sloshing but that jolt is exactly the issue.

that recall i believe is only for 09-10 trucks between a specific build date. but that definetly could be the culprit fursure. good info.
