Default torn CV boot help

Well guys I torn my front left CV boot today, the tear is pretty bad and I am wiling to bet that I have a god amount of dirt mixed in the grease because the grease is all over wheel. I know that I am unable to do this work myself and am in need of serious mechanical help here. About how much should this cost me to take to a shop to get fixed?

The cost of a boot plus a couple hours of labor should cover it. Without knowing your local pricing on parts and labor I can't be more specific.

Well just as an update for anyone else out there it cost me about $230 in parts and labor. The symptoms before I could actually see a bad tear were banging metal noises when turning left. It happened on a 4X4 and it is cheaper to replace the axle instead of the CV boot. Hope someone else who hits this problem can get it fixed up and learn from my problem.
