Georshrwd will become famous soon enough
Default Exhaust question

Im exstreamly happy with my truck but have notice that there seems to be several points at different speeds where the exhaust seems to resonate almost like a vehicle with one window open tends to buffet. Is there something I can do about this? Is there a resonator in the stock exhaust that if removed might solve the problem by opening things up a bit or would it make matters worse?

Our '13 is a little over a month old and I haven't noticed any resonance from the exhaust. Might have the dealer check it out, looking for a loose bracket or something similar. BTW, I love the sound of the stock exhaust, not to loud but still has a nice throaty sound when you get on the gas.

Could it be the motor cutting out on 4 cyl.? I know when mine cuts out if you listen closely kinda sounds like an helicopter.

i think you're hearing the cylinder deactivation kicking in. It's pretty noticeable, especially with an aftermarket muffler. Give it time, your ears will get use to it.

Removing the resonator would most likely make it worse. It's there to prevent what you are experiencing.

Just curious, can you snap a picture of the y pipe on your 2013? I read they redesigned it.
