let me toss in my plug nickles worth

after i had my rear view camera installed in my tailgate handle by the dealership, my radio already had the nav screen in it
i went to my friend that runs a auto sound shop, he also does alarms & cb radios. He told me that there are better products than those sold & installed by Dodge, & that he could have put in a rear camera & a monitor in my Ram for less $$$
maybe you should check into that type system, you would just have to decide what size monitor & where to place it

It turns your auto dimmer on and off. it the green light is off, you rearview will not automatically dim at night when lights shine on it. some people find the prefer it off because the rear window is tinted and they don't need it.

Mine has it and it works fine. Your side mirrors should dim as well. You won't notice as much of a difference as you would with a flip mirror.

I was looking to go the aftermarket route for a touch screen radio and back up cam. Here is where I found some problems. The shop I went to said that the dodge dash uses I thin cut out and most radios won't work, plus your limited on choice of radios that will work with the steering controls. After you get past those hurdles, there are several kits you have to buy to convert the sat radio and other features to work. If anybody knows a good aftermarket touch screen radio with satilite and rear cam ready. Don't need nav but would like iPod intergration. I am all ears for some good recomendations
