Default Trinity installed and 1/4 mile times

well ive had my trinity installed for about a week now on my 2012 extended cab with the 93 octane tune, shift points set at 5800 and MDS off and my mods are only a magnaflow 22" muffler and K&N drop in. my first impression was i didn't really think there was a whole lot of difference from stock until i got on the highway and opened it up thats were i could feel the extra power. now don't get me wrong there defiantly is an improvement over stock. the only thing that i really dont like is that there is a bad hic cup almost like a knock at the 50% throttle in 2nd gear hopefully a hemifever tune can fix that

now i ran the truck at the track a few months ago and with just the bolt ons and 87 octane gas and i was running a constant 15.00 at 90mph so tonight i played with the 1/4 mile option on the tuner and made 3 runs

1st run was 14.64 @ 94mph
2nd run was 14.29 @ 95.6mph
3rd run was 14.17 @ 96.5mph

i was getting better at launching it every time as you can tell. now i don't have much experience with using a tuner for timing your 1/4 mile so i dont know how accurate it is but im sure its close. my brother also has the same exact truck with the same 22" magnaflow muffler and we did some high way pulls and we both were very happy with the results the trinity tuned truck had a very nice jump on the stock truck and pulled away at a consistent pace. i cant wait to get my hemifever tune and compare the diablo tune. but all in all money well spent

Almost a full second off your times is a significant improvement. Are you launching against the tree, or using the autostart function? I just got the Trinity as well, and with only the 87 tune (gas I have in it right now) I can tell a difference! Will be going with a hemifever tune as well, have read it's a whole 'nother animal with that tune!

OP did you notice any difference in your mileage with the Trinity tune?
Great write up.

i was using the motion start option.. and as far as my gas mileage its still averaging the same as when i was on the stock tune and not having the peddle to the floor every time i catch a red light

im gonna mess around with some logging today so i i can figure everything out for when i receive my hemifever tune. i know for the 2012 you need to download the 3.3 version of dataviewer not the 3.2 that comes on the disk. im terrible with computers so i wanna make sure i know what im doing first lol. if any one has any tips on what parameters he wants you to log or anything that would help that be great

Nice numbers you have there, getting the launch down is a bit of a hassle sometimes, once you have it down though its very easy and will get some nice numbers
