True story tho, just thought this one would be the best open air design. Maybe they should put that in the description. Until then I just want a refund so I can buy an S&B or Volant.
go s&b, best cai on the market. plus they have mods, filter wraps, which i would recommmend to all, and they have scoops that go from under front air dam, with the ability to close it off as well. best CAI's out there. period.

Yeah Im ready to get rid of this one.

just FYI.....Vararam does claim this on their website....

• No falling rain water issues like the other low inlet systems. The 4G features a high mount location and water drains to ensure that water, even water over 2 feet deep and mud will not be a problem

I'm curious how you adjusted the Vararam when you installed it. Did you shove it all the way down on the throttlebody and tighten it down, or did you loosly fit it as high as possible, slowly close the hood (allowing the intake to adjust to the best height) open hood, and then tighten the clamp. The latter is what I did and it seems to seal fine. Just my two cents. But I do agree with an earlier post, you might look into a snorkel. I bought the Airflow snorkel for my '04 Cummins Ram 2500 and love it.

It would be a show of exceptional customer service if Vararam was to replace or refund your product, seeing as appears on the surface to not be a product fault but rather a user miscalculation as to the product's limitations.

It would be just general and common courtesy for Vararam to respond to your thread in some format, which you posted in their section of the boards.

Good luck and kudos to you for using your truck, as a truck.....

We have been in contact with the OP and are going to "customize" a unit for his use. Waiting on special parts to complete unit - this is an extreme situation and not a normal occurence. Contacted the OP over a week ago to discuss the issue and working to correct this special instance!

Sorry I unsubscribed from this thread bc of alot of retarded comments on how I need to install it. Anyhow yes Vararam has been in contact with me. Once they seen the issue they were very understanding and are doing way more than I expected. I also can't wait to get my one of a kind intake....can spill the details once I receive it

Oh and Steve, I'm still all for taking a sawzall to my fender.....
