Default Need horses up the hills

So I was just replying to a thread on getting a new exhaust. While waiting for that to come in, I keep wondering.......how many horses will I get? More importantly, will adding a K&N intake with the exhaust give me boost enough to get up a hill without the tranny shifting down everytime? Or is that my punishment for buying a 4.7?

I believe that true duals, not what our Rams have, will give you 7 hp over single exhaust
I believe an Electric Fan gives you about 4 HP
i believe toilet paper air filters restrict performance, i like the K&N replacement, very lightly oiled with the proper oil

exhaust headers may give you 15 to 20 HP

a lot of $$$ for 30 HP

it might make a difference on the drag strip

Yeah it's for sure alot for a little gain. Well if nothing else it'll sound pretty sweet I guess! I just dont wanna have that Shelby sound with a Fiaat under the hood.

I love my 2012, 4.7 at 310hp, maybe a bit more with my CAI and Free Flow Exhaust, and by the end of the week, Bully Dog will pop it up to maybe 340-345, and save me fuel at the same time, so at the end of the day, not bad for the little engine that climes hills.

So it sounds like the exhaust and maybe a CAI after that should give me some added power. I'll see how it performs after both mods, and then focus on a chip to complete it.
