First I want to acknowledge people like SS4, Moparornocar, Dodgert, JetBlue, Millon9, BlueStreak, snrusnak, and BigHoss for all the info/help/and tutorials they've helped along with. And Cdnoil for making us all wait for him to finish that damn truck!!
Let's face it there's a lot of great builds/projects out there and tons of ideas thanks to this awesome Z community.
Not a week after i got this truck I got the mod itch. So far I've added a K&N 77 Series CAI, 8000K Fog & Lo Beams, Bright White Interior LED's and Blue Cargo/Reverse LED's. Tailgate badge and stubby antenna have been color matched, and the rest of the truck was de-badged along with the black window tape being removed.
You should actually meet up with some of the members here.
There are quite a good quantity of members on here that live in Newfoundland.
Of course, all of them are lifted....lol
But still
ah man if I would have thought about it I would have gotten something together but I leave tomorrow. I got my Canadian Flag picture I was looking for though lol
nah it's alright, spending it with the family up here since I've spent a good portion of it discovering Canadian beer lol Molson is some good stuff, Iceburg is alright but Rickards is my favorite so far.
More than likely, I know for sure Molson was mentioned. I've been taking plenty of advice lately. Just tried Canadian Donair (or Doner) the other day as well thanks to a cool chick pointing it out to me and that's some good stuff.
After a bit of a hiatus of returned to do a minor mod. I still rock the factory sub and box but it needed to be changed. I was going through my toolbox and found a rattle can of DWB paint and figured why the hell not, if it turns out like crap I'll just PlastiDip it.
I started off by light sanding it just to get rid of the high spots from the factory stamps. They're still there but they don't stand out as much which I don't mind as it's just supposed to be a simple quick project to make it look better. After sanding I followed up with a adhesion promoter, primer, and a base coat.
Letting it dry for about 45 minutes I applied to more coats, 45 min dry time between each coat.
And finally after 4 coats of paint and 3 coats of clear following the same dry time method.
I definitely should have done this a lot sooner as I always just figured I would replace it with a fox box, but it's a great medium in the mean time and didn't take long at all.
nope, it was paint I ordered a while back from Automotive Touch Up in my paint code and forgot I had another can of it. It's better than the can I got from Mopar as well, I don't know why but it definitely came out better.
So I finally got around to doing a little mod on the truck since a LSD is still out of my price range with Mother Mopar being the only option, I straight piped the truck and it sounds bad ass!! In my opinion of course, I'm sure someone will find it to raspy or something but I love the way it sounds when I hammer on the throttle and cruise around town.
PS: Pay no attention to the skinny man briefly walking through the frame, I have no idea who that is.... I think his name is Sean or something... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npH_22kwZG8
Got nailed with a $130 ticket because they weren't able to be seen further than 300ft. I still have them for shows but In looking into doing a new set on the cheap in the mean time.
I haven't heard from Steven in a long time. I now live in MS, my how things change! I still love my ram, but man have priorities changed, mine is now just a truck and just transportation (though I still love the things I've done to it...). I now have over 100k miles on mine...
