i need help i bought a bummper to replace my old one but i have a 1997 ram 1500 and the one i bought is from a 2000 1500 the size of the bummpers are the same just looks like diffrent mounting hardware and the licens plate mount on the 2000 is built in to the bummper

i just wanted to ask also do any of u think i can bolt it on or will i have to have it welded on. plus the reason i am doing this in the first place is my current bumper is dented bad.:thk:
Once u take the existing bumper off check the spots on the frame where the bumper bolts to and see if there is damage. if not and the new bumper lines up then no need to weld it on. if there is damage then i would evaluate whether or not u can do it or u may need to take it to a frame shop
