I try to wax it every 2-3 months if I can. Weather/Work dependent. I will also put some wax on it if I notice that the water from rain is not beading up. That definitely tells me it time.

I prefer sealants to wax as they last much longer, on my cars I usually apply about twice a year, basically when it begins to fade in performance.

Never... there's no point on my truck. The previous owner had good intentions on removing scratches. But wet sanding with 80 grit sandpaper doesn't work so well. Especially on black paint.
