Lol, most of the time when I use my truck for work its about needing a truck to get places more than it is about hauling stuff-though I usually have a decent amount of gear to haul too.
My buddy recently bought a 2011 Harley Davidson Iron 883 so we went to go pick it up yesterday. Had to back the truck down a ditch to get the ramp at an angle that would keep the bike from bottoming out. It was about 300 miles round trip for me, including the drive out to his house in New Bern before we headed out to Goldsboro to pick it up. Its not even a 500lb bike, but still something that you need a truck to haul.
You can also see the new 4.5" tips from the Corsa cat back I put on on Friday night. I'll put up a thread about that when I get a chance.
23' box trailer, 100" wide. It weighs 3200 lbs dry; I figure it was probably around 7000lbs or a little over when it was loaded. There wasn't any room left inside when we were done packing it. I did not use a WDH.
I hate to clog up this thread with my posts, and this isn't the greatest demonstration of capability, but Thunderhorse hauled home some precious cargo today. His name is Tex:
It's a 14.5" adjustable drop shank. With that trailer I have it set at 11" of drop because of the amount of tongue weight. It makes my truck squat a couple inches.
