I hate it too but as far as the money grab thing guys have posted pics of their factory plugs after changing. At 30k they look like they do have plenty of life left but at 40k they look pretty well spent. I'm not gonna chance putting the platinums in and having a rough running motor. Gonna stick with OEMs every 40k.

^^^^That's what I would do. If you are satisfied with the way your truck runs then replace with what you took out regardless of mileage, 30k, 40k or 100k .

I have 110k on my original plugs in my 08 1500 5.7L and it still runs great! Although I am about to replace my OEM plugs with NGK plugs. Has anyone had any experience with the NGK plugs? Good or bad?

NGK is what my 10 hemi sport came with, never skipped a beat in 80,000 miles either.

My '09 QC HEMI came with NGKs
I have over 112,000 miles on it & today driving east of Dallas, i checked my MPG read out, 18.9 mpg !!

I have seen 17.4 mpg quite a bit, i thought to myself, what changed

Check out the ROCKAUTO website
spark plugs are found under Ignition
