Has anyone heard the announcement from Chrysler regarding the cracked cylinder head on some Pentastar V6 year 2011 - 2013, due to the cracked cylinder head, Chrysler is extending the warranty from 5yr/100,000mi to 10yr/150,000mi.

If you got one of those, better check into the dealer & get it fixed or replaced.

If you send an oil sample to Blackstone Labs at every oil change, you will know if yours is cracked before it causes complete destruction. I had a Mazda that developed a cracked head, oil analysis told me antifreeze was slowly getting in to the oil. Instead of tearing your motor apart . just sayin

The extended warranty covers 3.6 liter V6 engines for ten years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, measured from the in-service date, in applicable cars. These are the 2011, 2012, and early-2013 Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Durango, minivans, Avenger, Journey, Challenger, Charger, and 300. The Chrysler 200 was not on the list, despite being nearly identical to the Avenger; this may have been an oversight. per allpar.com

Rams not on the list, it apparently has the 3rd left cylinder revision. These listed vehicles have the 1st, 2nd designed cylinder heads. Non issue in the Ram trucks.
