Hi, I have a problem with my truck. I had a intake leak. Had the intake manifd gaskets replaced and a turnup. Now don't have no oil pressure. They dropped the pan and oil screen was plugged up. still no pressure. I have a 1998 dodge ram 5.2 ltr. Any information would b helpful.
You can pull your valve cover off, start it up and see if you actually have pressure. Or you can hook a scan tool up to the OBD II port and see what the oil pressure sensor is reading - see if the voltage is within tolerance. Could be a bad gauge, could be a bad pump. Here's to hoping for the gauge.
Did they unplug the sensor and not plug it in after the intake gasket replacement? How was your oil pressure before you did the intake gaskets? It should not change that quickly.
