I just started "fixin up" my truck. I just put on a AEM brute force CAI. Now I'm looking into getting an exhaust. I have heard the Magnaflow is the way to go. I want to go dual but I can't figure out what I need. I don't want super loud cause I use the truck for work. but a nice lil rumble and an easy out for the extra air I'm bringing in would be nice. Can someone just tell me what part numbers I need to get. The local mod shop is completely clueless and as helpful as a kick in the face. Also anyone know of a good site to get it "cheap"?
Don't know the part number, but I believe Magnaflow makes a complete cat-back kit. Google it and see what you find. Probably save a pile of $$ buy ordering online and just either installing it yourself or paying a local muffler shop to do it.
if you are wondering what you need for dual exhaust just talk to an exhaust shop. I'm sure they can fab up something for you way cheaper then any bolt on cat-back system.
i got my magnaflo from mufflex .The muffler itself was 239. I have the stock dual exhaust s I just had replace the muffler. Mine was the 18 inch. Not obnoxious but has a nice tone when you leave from a stop and a nice purr while cruising. Very happy with it.
I've never used part numbers whenever I got a muffler...just walked into a shop and told him what brand i want, what size openning(s), and how long a muffler i want, what size piping and tips.. and always found it to be waaayy cheaper to get it done this way then to try and buy the specific exhaust kits for our trucks...I've never spent more then $250 (installed, welded or flanged, all parts included)
I got the mangaflow cat back for my 2010 5.7 i like ot a lot is not to loud. I found my new on ebay and used the make an offer choice. i paid 500 to my door.
