Posted this in the 2013 thread. Try to give as much details as possible, including rebates, whether price is before or after taxes, if a trade was involved, and so on. Seeing what others are paying for their trucks gives everyone a good idea of what kind of deals are possible. The 2013 thread was very helpful to me!

2014 Ram 1500 Tradesman Quad Cab 2WD, with the 3.6 V6, 8 speed auto, plus a few options. MSRP $32600...price paid before taxes and dealer doc. fee $26,500. This included a $1000 rebate that I think everyone qualifies for plus an additional $500 rebate. Was told by the sales manager that I paid $1000 below employee pricing , after the $1000 rebate was figured in. While only $6100 off you have to remember that it wasn't a very expensive truck to begin with (MSRP $32600) and it comes to a discount of 19%, which to me is the more important number than how many dollars you got off. Paying a little more for a 2014 was worth it for me.

I ordered a 2014 1500 cc sport with leather, 8 speed, spray in Bed liner, sport hood, heated/cooled seats/ steering wheel (whatever group they fall under) power sliding rear window and defrost, alpine sound system, I think that is everything I may be forgetting something. The price was 55,300 I ended up settling on 41,500 + tax then minus 1500 for being a tradesmen. So the final price is 42 and change.

We will pay the Employee Price (EP) which is marked on the priced order confirmation (POC). We do not have the truck yet so we don't know the taxes as they are paid to the state in Illinois. The options are a higher markup than the truck so that makes a difference. The MSRP was $38,530 and the EP is $33,701. There will be a $500 military discount and $500 Midwest cash discount because of our location.

The person with $14,000 off is in Canada so that might make a slight difference. I am not sure, but I think each Canadian dollar is about a nickel so that is $700 off. ;-) (Just kidding Canada! ) It's closer to $0.97 per dollar.

Maximum Steel, That is a great cost. Right now I am negotiating on a 2014 Laramie Limited with a sticker of $49,300 and I have them at $7,500 off plus the $1,500 rebate. I am not sure we have as much off as you do. That would seal the deal if we did.

Writing check tomorrow

Hello all! I've decided that the 2014 Longhorn is an awesome option, and have the following deal:

Sticker: $50,485
Trade: 2010 Nissan Titan LE (44k miles)

OTD: $26,500

I'm thinking I'm close to the best deal possible, but I suck at buying vehicles... Anyone have any thoughts at this point?

I'm paying cash, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference...

You did pretty well, depending on your trade. If it's a 4x4 Crew Cab, in reasonably good shape, it should be worth $19-$20k (also depending on what else you have on it).
Not knowing the details of your new Longhorn, I figure the Invoice is around $46. So that just about works out -- you got the truck for around invoice and got a fair trade on your truck. Good job!!
