Posted this in the 2013 thread. Try to give as much details as possible, including rebates, whether price is before or after taxes, if a trade was involved, and so on. Seeing what others are paying for their trucks gives everyone a good idea of what kind of deals are possible. The 2013 thread was very helpful to me!
2014 Ram 1500 Tradesman Quad Cab 2WD, with the 3.6 V6, 8 speed auto, plus a few options. MSRP $32600...price paid before taxes and dealer doc. fee $26,500. This included a $1000 rebate that I think everyone qualifies for plus an additional $500 rebate. Was told by the sales manager that I paid $1000 below employee pricing , after the $1000 rebate was figured in. While only $6100 off you have to remember that it wasn't a very expensive truck to begin with (MSRP $32600) and it comes to a discount of 19%, which to me is the more important number than how many dollars you got off. Paying a little more for a 2014 was worth it for me.
Just spoke with my dealer and they are going to order another truck for me with the added options of Long Bed 6 ft 4 in, 3.92 Rear Axle Ratio, and 4 Corner Air Suspension. Final price after rebates is $44,966 plus taxes and tags. The original Longhorn order was $43,086 plus taxes and tags.
I was wondering what you decided to do Ordy! I think you made the right choice based on what you were saying in earlier posts...now you won't regret not getting things you wanted Congrats!
I was skeptical about the pricing on the $36k trucks I found and my hunch was correct. They advertised them with ALL rebates taken out. Naturally I am not eligible for half of them.
Final price is $39,590 which is still just about 1k cheaper than the dealer over the weekend.
He claims invoice was $42k and change. I don't remember the exact figure.
Thanks Blackhawk13. I received an automated email from my dealership today about a $500 Auto Show Discount. Anyone else see this? I wonder if this can be locked in?
Haven't heard of anything Ordy. Just a local New Jersey thing? Find out the code and/or call up the Chrysler Incentive Center and they'll tell you what it is and whether it can be locked at ordering.
Virginia 2014 SLT 4x4 Quad Cab. Premium Cloth Seats, heated seats and steering wheel, auto start, trailer package, 20” wheels, backup camera. A bunch of other stuff. No navigation and the smaller radio, with the CD player (a must for me as I listen to books on CD). No nerf bars. I bought those and installed them at home (Steelcraft 4” chrome). I love the truck.
Did I do well? I don’t know. When you drop 30+ do you ever feel good? I think I did OK. But I got the truck I wanted (except for the larger radio), and my trade which was worth about 600 bucks is how we “negotiated”.

Looks good to me. Looks as thought you got them to give you invoice minus roughly $750 of their $1250 holdback (before rebates or trade) so I would say you did pretty good. Enjoy your new truck!!!
man, thought I had posted to this thread on my deal but apparently I had not - it was over on the cummins forums. on 10 January I placed an order on the following -
3500 Longhorn, Crew Cab, 4x4, 6ft4in box, SRW
6.7 CTD, 68RFE transmission
exterior: two-tone western brown
interior: canyon brown / lt frost beige (NO laser etched leather)
20" wheels
Clearance Lamps, Aux Switches, CD Player
Keyless Go
SnowPlow prep group
Cold weather group
convenience group
Laramie Longhorn package - includes color matched bumpers, side steps, bedliner, and 8.4AN radio
MSRP - $65,495
rebates locked on 10 Jan - $3500 (3k cash allowance, 500 active military)
invoice listed on build sheet - $59,685
total to be paid for order - no more than $54,500
(depending on rebates available @delivery - currently scheduled for build 4 Feb, so shooting for end of feb)
so - roughly $11k off MSRP when all done and told. seems to be the going 'better' deal out there. I was happy with the deal
I am going to get rid of my 13 Laramie, and order a 14. I would buy one off the lot, but can't find exactly what I want...
Looking online, I found a dealer that is about 120 miles from where I live, and they have them advertised online for $7,000 off sticker, plus a $3,000 rebate.
Not to bad with no negotiating.

32 Gal tank

Should be here in a few more weeks, since no dealer had the exact options I wanted. MSRP is right at $45k
I paid (will pay) $38,374,well $38,534 with a $161 fee (won't budge on that no matter what, whatever) and that price is $200 below the USAA price and alot less than any other dealer would quote via email etc.. That is with just the $1500 rebate right now. Also I am trading in a vehicle that will wipe all of the 7% sales tax ($2700) out which is nice! MY OTD will actually be in the neighborhood of $20k with the trade allowances-payoff
Alot of the vehicles I have bought (not all) I go through USAA car buying service, depending what the savings are. Its set up through truecar but with their "own" pricing, IE way less than the normal site. The particular dealer I used local is a "no haggle type" dealer but I busted out the USAA paper and basically said match it or I will go to the participating dealer. I actually got them to beat the USAA price by $200. That works because participating dealers have to kick back $300 for using the service so, I bargain and tell them give me a little bit more off since they will not have to kick back any. I recommend it, just look it over carefully some of the discounts are more or less on certain brands and you are better haggling yourself sometimes (particularly with the "Royal Rumble" tactic which has worked great before, pin about 5-6 dealers in a ring , email getting your best price until the others can't compete with the best price you get and tap out!) I hope that can help someone get a good deal if you are a member and didn't know about it!
I just a 14' Ram 1500 Crew, Leather heated/cooled sunroof, 8.4an with nav and alpine stereo, backup cam electric slider(wish it had defrost boo) backup sensors 98 liter tank 3.21 gear, 4x4 8 speed transmission, heated steering wheel (love it) dual zone automatic climate control. Dual coolers/storage bins in floor. Towing package with class 4 hirch and towing mirrors. And anti-spin differential. Keyless remote entry with push button start and proximity sensor and factory remote start. Msrp was 57380 -8500 dealer incentive, -1850 for the dealer ordering in the fall time (family value package or something like that) -1500 for currently owning a truck (01 super duty) price came 39600 plus tax -1500 after tax rebate came to 44799.99 out the door and they threw in a leather ram jacket mudflaps and a trifold soft tonneau cover.
I'm looking to purchase a new ram outdoorsman quad cab 4x4.
I attached my invoice i received from the dealer tonight. I believe i was given the wrong paper.
I have the
MSRP: 43,240
FWP: 39,854
FFP: 39,530
EP: 37,936
I was given a price of 39,854 which is supposedly the invoice price.
What would you do?
Use it as a bargaining tool at other dealerships?

The holdback (HB on the attached Config Preview) on the truck is $1261. You're trying to get as much of that as possible in addition to all the available rebates. I think your best shot at getting the best price is to talk to multiple dealers. I received a configuration preview sheet from 3 of the 4 dealers I talked last month they all include that pricing information. Some dealerships will give you 100% of the holdback plus an additional $500, $1000 and even $2000 (2013Ram got this through Dennis Dillon). I was able to get 100% of the holdback and an additional $900 off by having my dealer match the quote I received from Dennis Dillon.
Just picked the truck up tonight.

This is my fifth Ram (2001 4x4 reg cab sport, 2003 4x4 off-road, 2006 4x2 Laramie, & 2010 Sport Crew Cab 4x4)
2014 Laramie Limited Crew Cab 4x4 MSRP $55,935. Purchased for $50,000 -$2500 rebates. Dealer included bakflip fibermax ($950 installed). So total discounts from list was $9,385. Gave me good market value for my trade and an excellent interest rate...even delivered to my house 40mn away! They were very easy to deal with, salesman was great, send me a PM and I'll refer you, they are located about 1 hour southwest of Chicago.
Ordered a 2014 Ram R/T. No trade in. MSRP $39,2xx paying $31,500 plus tax, tag and doc fee. This price includes $1000 factory rebate, $500 military rebate, $500 financing rebate, $500 coupon from Ram brocure and $500 Rambox rebate for buisness owners. New here from the Ford forum. Ford didnt build a high enough trim regular cab for me. The Tremor is wildly overpriced. Will give Dodge a try.
Update: Took deliver of my R/T last weekend. All I can say is this thing is a rocket ship for a truck. The factory rebates went up $500 while I was waiting for delivery and the dealer found another $1,000 rebate in the system for regular cabs being placed into service for use in a buisness. I ended up paying $30,000 plus TT&L for a truck with an MSRP of 39,345. I'm satisfied.
hey guys looking into order a 2014 ram 1500 sport crew cab 6' box in granite crystal. I got some info on the online build price and was wondering what a good price for this would be. I added convenience, sport and remote start group. Leather seats, 3.92, anti spin, spray in bedliner, trailer hitch and brake control, sport hood, rambox, sunroof, floor matts, power pedals, rear defroster. Backup cam, parksense front rear. I am located in western Canada v2a6j8
Base MRSP 49,095
discount 8,500
options 10,245
as configured 50,840
destination 1,695
federal A/C tax 100
Net Financed Amt 52,635
I also get an additional $1500 discount for being in a trade and didn't factor that in. Any help would be great, thanks!
So I have decided to upgrade my 2011 1500 Outdoorsmen to a 2014 2500 Longhorn. I want factory order this time as i'm tired of settling on missing some options so I can get others! I have never ordered before so am not sure how to go about it. Is there a factory order form somewhere online I can look at? I know I have to order through a dealer, but was hoping I could have enough info before I went to them. The Ram Build and Price on the web site is not that great.
Is the rear air suspension for the 2500/3500 available to order yet?
Just ordered a 2014 Ram 1500 Crew Cab 5.7 bed fully loaded base was 43875.00 with options it came to 53870.00. Since this was the 2nd vehicle we ordered and 3rd vehicle we had purchased all cash the dealer showed us their cost of 49089.00 and asked how much over that are you willing to pay for the truck? Since we know the salesman pretty well and me being a bit of a smart ass I said 49500.00 he said its a deal, then said the powers that be said anything 300.00 or more over cost is what we would get it for. Plus when placing the order incentives in place military and an additional 1500.00 would come off of that, but if when we take delivery there are better incentives we would get the better of the two. So right now our price is 47500.00 before TT&L.
Hmm, maybe for an ordered truck that's a good deal, but on the higher end RAM's with a long list of options (such as yours) you should be able to get $10K off sticker, easy. :4-dontknow:
