my rear tire flew off when i was driving last night on the driver side and all the bolts that the lug nuts go on are missing how hard are they to replace or if i buy a new drum break are those bolts on the drum?
alright sweet i love those jobs lol but it sucked balls me and some buds were on our way back from muddin and all the suddin i see my tire pass me up but we were on a dirt road so the drum is good
I prefer to use a lug nut to seat the stud, draws it in nice an tight, and you don't have to worry about not having it exactly lined up and damaging the drum.
If you find the drum is a bit difficult to remove, use a screwdriver on the shoe adjustment wheel. It's on the back side of the brake assembly, there is a slot you can use the screwdriver to spin it. It looks like a gear, has teeth that the screwdriver will fit in.
I know this because I too have had a rear wheel come off on my 85 Ram :hah:
